Dipstick needed

I,am looking for a replacement dipstick for a 1992 KAMD42A part number 860621, my engineer broke the tip of mine :ambivalence:
Can anybody help? :encouragement:

At the risk of stating the bleedin obvious, can you not just order one from your local VP dealer?

How far up is it broken? Can you see the max mark?

It's broken just above the max mark

Replacement requires new tube and associated fittings - means removing heat exchanger and oil cooler on the strb side of strb engine with limited access

Has the tip,been lost? If not, can it be welded back on. Failing that, if you have twin engines can you take the other one to a machine shop and get a new one made, or again a piece made to replace the broken tip?

Is it a flat blade type or round wire? Either way, we make lots of automotive dipsticks so if you really can't find one then let me know the tube internal diameter and approx. blade width/thickness/length and I may be able to send you an oversize blade with a suitable handle and seal attached for you to cut to length and mark the min/max (engraving tool?), though of course it wont be original VP.
