I want to buy some wheels to make it easier to get our inflatable up the slip.

The neatest I have seen are called Dinghy Dolly Wheels, plastic with spring loaded adjustment. I simply wonder if they are sufficiently robust.

Does anybody have experience of these, or other dinghy wheels, who can advise?

Just picked a pair out of a skip, attached to a zodiac dinghy. The dolly wheels themselfs are fine but the spindle they run on wears out quickly. Looks like i will need to replace the plastic spindle with a nice stainless bolt.
Lucky on the dinghy too, previous owner had put two patches on over holes the size of a pin. The glue that had been used was wrong and i was able to just pull the patch off. One tiny drop of super glue and the dingy is fine now.

I've just fitted a set to our 2.3m Avon. They work as described. However, ignore their advice about screwing the plates into the transom. First time out one wheel ripped off, I used the screw sizes they recommeded and they just weren't man enough for the job.

Have now replaced with bolts, washers and nuts, now very good and capable of rolling with o/b and stuff.

I have two tenders; on one I have fitted the pneumatic dinghy wheels which lock up when not in use and on the other tender i have fitted the Dolly Dinghy wheels. The large pneumatic wheels are much easier on any surface but a bit too big when not in use even on the "up" position; the dolly type are small easy to engage up or down, but more difficult to pull the tender. Nothing between the two, I think I prefer the dolly type only because they are smaller. If the suface is soft such as sand, i would definately go for the larger pneumaticc wheels.
