Dinghy stowage

The new Rustler 44 looks to be a fine vessel but even though it is massive there seem to be no place to fit a hard dinghy.In almost all the cruising books the writers stress the point of carrying two dinghys;one of which should be proper dinghy.Is this a case of form over function.Even on a 27 footer I carried a hard dingyh which proved invaluble in anchourages etc etc.

As the owner of the new Rustler 44 I can tell you that there are several options for fitting a hard dinghy.

1. The foredeck, which is where we carry our inflatable dinghy. The cut of the sails is such that there is no interference.
2. In fron of the sprayhood.
3. On davits. We are actually having a removable set fitted to carry our nutshell dinghy, which is a very hard dinghy! http://www.barrowboats.co.uk/new/nutshell.htm

If I were designing my ideal boat it would be centre cockpit (with shelter) with a place for stowing the hard sailing dinghy fore and aft above the rear cabin. It would be lifted there with a pair of arms the way a skip is lifted onto a lorry. Would it work? The idea would be to be able to keep the mast in place.
