Why do they always look so miserable .. are they enjoying themselves or just doing anything to escape from washing the car?

The pain in my thigh's and the cold water of the Clyde shooting up my legs as I tried to sail my Laser flat.......maybe that is why!

i was once taking out would-be sailors in my int 14 at a club open day and there was a press boat from a local paper taking pictures. as i sailed past the lady reporter told me to stop smiling, i replied 'why, i'm enjoying myself?'

she still managed to catch me in a 'off' moment and my scowling face duly adorned the paper the following week.

perhaps it's a question of 'scowl, you're on candid camera'

It's a concentration thing. They're having to concentrate very hard to get that tack under your bows just right................

If you sail on our lake it is because the wind has changed direction for the 3rd time in 4 boat lengths!

Makes you good at sailing in light winds.
