I think you are along the same lines as me dancrane. Coastal hopping is miles away. A daysailer is neither here or there. I am getting ahead of my station. I do have a friend who can sail but never does. Not that experienced. He currently has a V8 cruiser boat he uses on the broards. At this moment in time I think it is wise to start with a near as dammit stable dinghy. With a strategy to do a Competent crew course earlyish in 2022. Hopefully
