My super dooper nice and expensive LVM dinghy pump gave up the ghost last week when I was trying to inflate my tender to give it a good clean prior to putting away in storage. I was in Aldi's yesterday and they have a small `plug and play` pump for airbeds and the like. Got one and it seems to work a treat although I've yet to put it into action. For £4.83 it is a better deal than the £60+ I paid for the LVM.
Have to get down to Aldi's again tomorrow and get a couple of spares!

i spoke to a man at lvm who asked me what had gone wrong with my inflator, basicaly the turbine had melted its way into the casing. Anyway he said it shouldnt have happened and he sent me a brand new one complete with a bag to send the old one back.
Not bad considering i got it at a second hand shop of 1.50

My LVM stopped inflating half way through the inflation so wasn't under strain as the warning explains on the casing. I haven't contacted LVM yet but will do on Monday--thanks for the reminder. Meanwhile I've now got a spare.

I bought one of these at Aldi a couple of years ago. It's brilliant comes with different fittings for different size valves. Very quick, high volume output but not much pressure so finish off with the footpump. I bought one as a spare last year because of the price but I've not needed it yet. They are available in 240v or 12v.

Been using one/no two - 240v & 12v - for the past three years - excellent. I keep one on the boat for a reserve inflatable, if ever required

Bought 12v one last year - good airflow, but pressure unable to get thru the one way valve. Have to blow dingy up with the valve out, then quickly insert the valve and top up with foot bump. Worth the money...
