hello, I have a Sealine F42/5 that cant use a normal passarelle because of the extending transom.

I want to get a decent dinghy (310 / center console / 15hp) but I don’t know how to lift it onto the transom.

I cant afford the Cooney crane system at £15K - does anyone have any suggestions please?

Yuo definitely want to hear from poster Wiggo on this. He has a very smart s/s single davit mounted starboard side, on a f37 I think and berthed in southampton area (Hythe?). Pictures on this forum ages ago, but I don't know what search terms to use to find them sorry. I hope he looks in here sometime

Yes, well. I don't know where the £15k came from but our Whittal crane cost about £5k when it was installed about 7 years ago. Sadly they went bust and got bought by Cooney, I believe, so maybe prices have gone up, but surely not threefold?

Anyway, ours is an electric lift/manual slew, and the boat's in Ocean Village, FWIW. Fabulous piece of kit, and lifts our Brig 300 Sport (console RIB with a 15hp Johnson) very easily.

I know a forumite who has a dinghy crane in his garage that he is looking to sell. It is the one that is often fitted to Sealine S42/S43 models. I think it might be an Atlas crane but not 100% sure on that. Let me know if you want more info and I'll find out for you.
