Looking for any reviews / feedback on the Digital Yacht Nomad Portable Class B AIS Transponder.
My boat is based in the Med, we don't cross to the islands every year, but AIS would be nice to have when we do.
My chart plotter is a Raymarine RLC70 or 80 and I really don't want the hassle (if even possible) of trying to connect AIS through that. We always have an iPad at the helm with Navionics Marine set up and running, I am presuming I can overlay the AIS data from the Nomad on top of the Navionic charts. We find the iPad is far better / easier to use when entering any bay or marina we are not familiar with.
Any information or opinions would be gratefully received.
Many thanks
