Different Type of Bow Thruster

Has any one any experience of the externally mounted Sideshift Thruster ? Web site is www.sideshift.me/ I can't down load a photo into this thread for some reason so if anybody could oblige that would be great.Not the most aesthetically pleasing object to have on the bow of your boat but its only visible when on the plane apparently.Removes the requirement to cut holes in the bow of your boat etc.

I Think these thrusters have been talked about on this forum before, I would stick with the through hull tube type.

Having looked at the web site I cannot see why anyone would buy one of these, they look ugly, the bow one would make the boat look horrid, as well as maybe disturbing water flow over the hull, and the stern thruster would leave a hole in your hull if it was knocked off by a large object IMHO.....

Stick with a through the hull type installed by a rep installer. What size boat is it?

Not thinking of installing one I was just curious as to the Forums opinions/reaction.

Interesting to note that the background picture shows a boat with a conventional bowthruster, and not one of their own products

Appears to be a more acceptable solution from a design viewpoint and agree about the motor inside the hull.
