Differences between free Navionic charts and Navionic iPad app charts.

I assume that the free Navioinic charts provided at http://www.navionics.com/en/webapp are less detailed or have missing information when compared with the charts of Navionics' iPad application?

I think they are just a selling tool for the other products. Full charts but without any features to make use of them.

Well, for instance, unless the dolphin at the entance to the Beaulieu has been removed it isn't shown on the web app? I can't check my paper charts as they are on the boat.

the charts for the area that I know arent complete in the sense that all levels of magnification dont seem to be there. But if you just want cheap charts as opposed to a plotting system then gps nav app gives you the whole uk catalogue for around £20

Well it may be magification but other [arguably less critical] piles appear. I think the red pile 2, which is singled out by being coloured black has been confused with the dolphin.

I have UK & Holland paid for iPad app which shows Beaulieu Dolphin on the last 3 zoom in levels. I am more than happy with app partic combined with gps etc but still have paper charts to check out of my normal area.
