Difference between Sunseeker \"Hawk34\" and \"Superhawk34\" both 1999

Looking at these two boats there doesn't appear to be much (any!) of a difference but they do seem to be listed by the brokers as two different models.

Anyone know if it's just a name thing, a misunderstanding by the broker and they should all be called Superhawk (which sounds a lot sexier) or whether there is something fundamental between them??

The only oddity at the moment is they are ...hawk34 but all measure 37 feet...a well known curiosity from Poole...

Haven't got clue to be honest as I don't know that Sunseeker, but I'd bet its the same boat. Brokers descriptions are notoriously inaccurate and they frequently get basics such as the model and engine types wrong, i'd do a bit of research yourself first so that you know exactly what your buying.

I'd second that remark about brokers, the words say 2 x VP KAD 42 and the photo is of a pair of AD 41As.

go and look for yourself and make sure your're getting what you're after.

I think it's was just a change for marketing purposes. When it was first launched it was the Hawk 34 ( i.e. replacement for Hawk 31) but then remarketed as Superhawk 34. Probaly since sunseeker decided to focus more on 50' plus. One Hawk series was enough. I think most brokers market them as superhawk 34s because that is the recognised name. However to be technically correct, the earlier models ( i think before 2000) were all Hawk's. Will stand ready to be corrected.

dunno bout the names but I do know that around that time i had a look round a boat hawk/ superhawk and one problem was that water could sneak into the boat: It collected at the lowest part of the swoopy sidedeck - directly below which was a porthole and no "runoff"so it dribbled in bit by bit by bit. So i wd have a v careful look to see that there s no internal damage/rot in or below that area caused by rain etc overnight when portholes open.

On a lighter note, i remeber that a new sunseeker was booked into port solent, name of Corporate Raider, and entire hammerhead was cleared. Turned out to be 34 feet long. We reckoned he launched hostile takeover bids of cake stalls and local paper rounds....
