I will have to refuel again soon and I was wondering where to get the best diesel price.
I normally refuel at my marina where they declare they sell fuel at cost. With diesel taxed at 60/40 it is hard to make a comparison when fuel stations are so far apart. Last time (end of July) I asked the price of petrol to refuel my tender outboard and I was shocked to learn that it was something around £1.50/litre, so I thought that I could get a better diesel deal than £1.10 litre at 60/40 tax. Their explanation was that with small quantities(?) they could not be as competitive as car fuel station.
Are Gosport, Cowes or Yarmouth more reasonably priced?
