Diesel leak

I need a gasket (either flexible solid or mastic to make one) which will stand continuous immersion in diesel. Any suggestions please?

Have a look at Frost Equipment. Gaskets in tube and sheet format.

Seals direct supply nitrile rubber in sheet form. It is not very elastic and the mating surfaces must be smooth and closely parallel.

Not wishing to hijack the thread (well not too much) but what is the recommended sealant for use in threaded couplings for use with diesel? PTFE tape or some sort of goo?

Parallel threads or tapered? PTFE tape will not be effective on parallel threads.

Re thread sealing: I did this job recently and asked the same question (a quich search should find the discussion); some forumites were a little wary of PTFE tape (fragments entering the fuel pump, air leaks etc) although others seemed happy to recommend. I eventually used a thread sealing liquid (can't remember the spec but it is the one that asap supplies sell - see their web site) and I found no problems with it during or after installation, overall probably easier than tape to apply
