Those cheap Chinese diesel heaters seem to have come a long way in the last couple of years.

Anybody used one of these all in 1 units in a small boat? (Link below)

Would I be right in thinking that if this was in an external locker, it would just need a skin fitting to vent exhaust and the hot air tube vented into cabin? 12v for the pump and away we go?

I know the cheaper ones needed upgrades to make them safe. Does this one seem any better? Any advice greatly appreciated.

I recently started a thread about these.
Consensus seems to be that the bits in the box are the same as when you buy the heater as separate parts.
Where I am (US) they're available at about the same cost, about $60.
From what I understand you'd be fine to install the box inside a locker so long as you run the exhaust properly. But I'm not sure it offers a huge advantage over a normal installation.

I hadn’t realised these were just the cheaper units inside a box.

Might as well get a cheaper unit then and spend the savings on the best exhaust I can find.
