Diesel Fuel

I am currently in Cocos keeling (part of Australia) and filled with diesel. I spilled a small amount and was surprised to see it caused no "sheen" on the water at all. Does this indicate it is biodiesel or do they put some clever additive into it in Aus that acts as a detergent?

I'd be surprised too. Certainly on the main-land a spill will cause a sheen.
