Diesel Fuel Treatment , Clearwinner LA88

How can you endorse a product you haven't used?:ambivalence:
I have been using Clearwinner LA88 now two years , approx 200 engine hours , with no fuel issues .
The engines run very sweetly. Not that it proves anything .
Happy now?

There are emulsifier (mixes water into the diesel) and demulsifier (makes the water drop out) additives.
I read about the differences between marine diesel and red diesel which can have up to 7.5% bio fuel in it. Two of the reds began with a EN number ,marine had a BS number so that must be the one to have !
Alas no one that sells red diesel seems to know which one it is they sell. The staff at mdl could only tell me theirs has an additive but had no idea about any biodiesel content.. I wonder how that works if you add your own not knowing about their additive?
My tank is in the keel so a constant temp helping to keep condensation at bay ? I have never put in an additive or ever cleaned the tank out.. I guess with more bio stuff appearing its just a matter of time before i sample the wonders of fuel that does not last and blocks the fuel system up?
Mdl is my local therfore usual fuelling point so maybe their fuel is really good?

I think that marine diesel (gas oil) (that is also red) sold on tidal waters is bio (FAME) free and when sold on non-tidal/inland waters has bio/FAME added. The latter also includes red sold on some garage forecourts but that is 5% taxed and not 60/40 etc. White diesel sold on tidal waters - who knows?

It was a reply to me....3 years later, that is the point! RTFT

You seem to be making snide comments because you are upset that he is answering your criticism of him for commenting without experience by gaining that experience and reporting back, which of course takes time. Given the subject matter is still current and he is being helpful, you are coming across as, shall we say, not a particularly pleasant individual.

By the way what does RTFT stand for?
