Diesel fuel additives

I am in the process of moving my "new to me boat" from red to white, sounds like a good plan for next year.

I like the idea of running the tank almost empty then refilling with fresh fuel.

As an aside I remember PBO running a test on fuel additives a few years ago and finding Grotomar the best available. I've used it ever since but watch out, it is a biological additive and has a shelf life. The last litre I bought had only a year before it's best before date and I would expect a litre to last me five years.

I also use Marine 16 with road diesel - as said earlier I also don't use a lot of fuel in a year and our boatyard no longer sells red to us yotties, only to the fishermen. Mind you, I did find a trace of bug on the primary filter when changed a couple of weeks ago.
