Hi All,
I have a Volvo Penta 2003 from 1986, and I believe it has been jinxed. When I start her up with throttle set to full she starts fine and I bring her back to idle. Ticking over at about 700 rpm. When I increase rpm to 1500 , she's running sweet and I can bring her back to idle. But ..... when I increase rpm to 2000 , she still runs sweet but when returning lever back to idle, she keeps running at 2000 rpm... I only can shut her down by blocking the air-intake.
Why oh why can I bring down the rpm when I start her up full throttle but not when I slowly increase to 2000 and above.
Any wizzards amongst you who can help me to unjinx?
Thanks,
Carla
