diesel deterioration.

Does it deteriorate?I dont mean get diesel bug and condensation;assuming it is clean and the tank is full to the brim,does it deteriorate,its just that I looked at the colour of some red today out of the boat and im sure it was reder .It looks a touch lighter and does not smell like fresh red anymore?Maybe it is the bug?

if the tank is brim full and no water bottom, diesel should be able to be stored for may years without much deteriation.

It would be a good idea to add some form of fuel stabilization like Soltron to help keep the bugs away.
