Diesel Ban in Bristol

Hello All

The proposed diesel ban for cars in Bristol actually includes most of the docks, do does anyone know if this ban applies to craft in the docks most of which have diesel engines. Or have Bristol Council not thought about it. This could be a major problem for boat owners in Bristol.

I actually exhibit at Bristol Harbour Market and drive a diesel car so unless I buy a different car I can not get there. Bristol Council are not the best to deal with but this new diesel ruling is a bit of an overkill.

Don't Panic! It's a diesel CAR ban - Buses, Taxis, Petrol Cars, etc. and Boats not banned.

Its not for no purpose as particulate pollution is high but its done in the traditional "Sh*t Shape and Bristol Fashion" of our beloved Bristol Town Planners.

Fill in the Docks for Parking - err no

Demolish Totterdown for a road network that goes nowhere - Oh sorry we don't need that road, pity about your district

Close roads for arena- sorry no arena but we cant open roads again, I know we have made traffic worse and killed industry but we can never change our mind

Rebuild a roundabout to make it impossible to get from S Bristol to main station by car or bus - still incomplete and running 2 years late and probably not compatible with diesel ban

Quite right but buses and commercials will have to pay a daily fee to enter the zone so up go everyone's prices.
