A demulsifier is a chemical used to separate water from oil. So any water will, hopefully, remain in the bottom of the tank. Apparently this is what marine 16 diesel fuel complete does with any water . The idea being the water should not get to the engine. I guess the demulsifier causes the water to separate quicker than it would if left to its own devices.Drops the water out? What does that mean? Sounds to me that it makes it sink so it can be drained? I thought water in diesel does this without any help?
On the other hand 'fuel set' combines any water, microscopically, with the diesel - so the water is put through the engine.
I am not sure which is the best .
