Diesel additive non clogging one?

A few years back i poured in the additive to "treat" the fuel, stopped the engine dead in about half an hour with a sludge filled filter.

I've read somewhere that 10 years on that there is one on the market that breaks down any nasties - anyone have any advice please?

Marine 16 is the stuff to use (I use it). I believe that it kills and breaks down the bug so that is passes throught the engine.

Startron....

Startron is better than most in this respect, but if there's a lot of rubbish in your tank it's inevitable that you'll get some in the filter regardless of which additive you use.
