Dieppe - good option

Stamped out of Schengen in Dieppe today. No forms or questions. Just presented passport at ferry terminal. 15 min walk from marina. Even easier than Cherbourg or Roscoff. Especially if based on the East Coast.
PS This was the first time, in five months in France & Spain this summer, that anyone has looked at the visa page in my passport.

Yes, Visa de Long Sejour. The 6 month French tourist visa. Pretty painless to obtain. And very handy for a summer in and around Biscay. Highly recommended!
