Did you have a nice weekend ?

Yep, Sailed round to Wells. Excellent sail Saturday, wind dropped overnight while dodging sandbanks off G Yarmouth, great sail Sunday morning. Arrived in time to take up the best view in Wells of the Wells Triathlon. Big Grin.

Weather bound here now with 9s, but can think of worse places to be stuck.

Seem to have a couple of photos of Guapa with a spinnaker up:D Will upload when I get a real (non gprs) signal

I had a nice weekend, but completely failed to end up where I wanted to be. No sailing, lots of sitting round wth the kids at the club. Had hoped to get to London, but missed the tide and now the weather has closed in. Grrrr.

We had a lovely weekend, sailed round to the Deben on Fiday, anchored at the Rocks. Beautiful warm evening. In fact the first time all summer that we have had our supper in the cockpit.

We returned on Saturday mainly because the forecast for Sunday sounded poor, wind and heavy rain, neither of which materialised. :(

Still we had a great sail back, although coming into Harwich was a bit intimidating, I have never seen quite so many yachts beating out at once.

Our entertaining moment of the trip was at Shotley on the Friday. I noticed that the Shotley Horse buoy was not in it's proper place, and then saw it further up towards the Stour in closeish proximity to a small fishing trawler. As we watched we could could see that the trawler had "caught" the buoy and was slowly towing it back to where it should have been. :D

It was back on station on the Saturday so they managed to free themselves.

Yes, we did

Very pleasant dinghy exploring in the Walton Backwaters, tried the "Northwest Passage", Oakley Creek, first turn left, Moze Creek/Ouze, but failed to get out of the top end, either wrong way or too early. Then back to Oakley Creek and further up turn right for the "North East Passage" and out just to the north of the entrance to the Backwaters. There appears to be a much larger creek entering the Backwaters further in which I had assumed we would exit by, but will try that one next time.

What made it special was the huge number of seals in Moze Ouze.
