be qualified to instructing on horses.
run a riding stables

make loads of money legally,
and stay a size 12 /forums/images/icons/crazy.gif

Yes and no some surprises however, things are looking good for the future.

Didn't expect to be a pen pusher as I wanted to be a Motorbike mechanic, qualified at that then ended up in finance for 11 years which I hated. Now happy being my own boss at last.

Learned to drive an HGV on my way to Saudi Arabia. Gained more experience going to Baghdad and Bassera along with Kuwait. Came back and became a furniture designer and plastics (expert) Then a landlord, Now getting axpert at being divorced at 55. Started to become a Granite worktop expert. Also at 55 realising I know nothing about womin. Or maybe they no nothing about me!!

Two 'c's

Edit quickly, or is this the point that I missed? Two different traits are interchangeable and random - or not random...

Don't remember what I wanted when I left school. Things haven't always gone the way I wanted them to, but I've learned to roll with it. I've got the boat(s), a reasonable house, a reasonable car, the motorbike... More importantly, I've got my health, a lovely wife and two beautiful kids.

I was made redundant three months ago, and actually, it made me realise what I had, what was important, and what wasn't. I've been able to use the time to enjoy life, and now I have a new job to start next week with a new set of challenges. More importantly, I'll go into it refreshed, upbeat and positive. Life is good, but only if you make the most of it.

Ta. I was quite getting used to this life of idleness and boating. If I can sort out an endless supply of money, I may retire. The only downside was that management is a firm believer in the devil making work for idle boaters, so had me on near permanent decorating duty when at home.

Too bloody right! Today involved replacing the washing machine (decided to spring a leak while we were away), the tumble dryer (not big enough to cope with the new washing machine) and reworking all the worktops and vents to get the damned dryer in. Tomorrow, I get to finish off the bathroom, before finally getting around to the serious jobs like replacing all the hoses on the holding tank.

Now, I know that last job is vile, unpleasant, stinks, and is potentially hazardous to health, but at least it's on the damned boat...

Hi

your post got me thinking- which is a strain! I try to live life by a few simple rules ( I cant manage complicated ones): to do anything it has to be emotionally, intellectually and physically stimulating and fullfilling once that has gone then its time for a change, never to be a victim of circumstance and never let fear be a factor in any decision making process, this is probably been why my life is a collection of totally disjointed chapters starting at the age of 14 when I set up my first business and had to have my mum or dad run me about to meet potential customers up and down the country out of school hours- this venture only lasted until I had made enough cash to buy a new bike and a radio controlled plane!

Im just hoping the next 30 years or so (hopefully) carry on in the same bizarre vein as the first.

To opinion-ize about men not understanding women and tuther way round if we all did understand each other im sure the whole process would be really boring! 0r is that me just being a masochist! Also if women began to understand us men it would give us a lot less chance of getting away with anything-i think I like it as it is, it seems like a nice safe distance
