Superb photos.
Not a Broom in sight!
National it may have been, but probably optimistic to expect our Scottish cousins to ship down to the smoke for a 1 day event.
Get real!

"I for one would like to see any pics you have of the Queen's 90th Flotilla "

"Prepare to be bored to death by a large number of pictures.... :"

Photographs are of Queen's Diamond Jubilee Pageant and not HMQ90.

How about the end of the known universe......Kent Essex and Sussex.
Seem to remember that several thousands of leisure boaters from all over UK were prepared to take the time and effort to get to the Thames in time for the event.

"Applications to take part from boat owners throughout the UK and the Commonwealth have been three times oversubscribed. The Pageant organisers made the final decisions on vessels selection, with advice from the Port of London Authority (PLA) and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency"

This would have been some commitment on their part and not merely a comfortable couple of hours beyond Teddington and back home in time for tea. :)

Maybe the organisers had safety in mind and only picked boats that had been implementing the BSC for a number of years.....:)

No there was a need to ensure boats met a simple safety standard and I suggested BSC. This was happening at the SAME time as the selection process.
