Dickie G\'s Maiden Voyage (piccies too)

Thought you might like to see snaps of the arrrival of Dickie G on the Thames and her first journey under new ownership.

We had her dropped in on Friday 15th Aug at Penton Hook marina. Then on Saturday 16th me, my co-owner and his wife took her down to Chiswick Quay marina without too much mishap. Thanks to all the lock keepers en route. Weather stayed fine and I was amazed to find that the entire trip was incredibly scenic - not one ugly urban stretch at all. What a gem our river is. I can't wait to spend more time on it. Hope to see you there soon.

Nice photos, thanks! Certain boats retain their good looks considering the basic design dates back to the 1960s this is something to be admired.
I lay odds today's jelly mould designs will not have that privilege in 40 years time.

A lovely design, clearly modelled on the Birchwood..... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Great piccies there /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Great pictures. The Princess 32 is a really good river boat as well, especially with a single engine like yours. It looks in really good condition and as Byron says it has real style.
