Can anyone supply a diagram of the lift keel on the Jouet 760. It is similar to the Feeling and Gib'sea, the winch is on the table in the cabin. I'm having trouble with water coming up through the mechanism and without a diagram cannot figure out what the problem can be.

C,
sorry to hear you are still having probs. How about trying the Jouet 680 association? They are nice people, and the 680 also has a similar looking lift keel.
They answer in beautiful English!

If it is like the Feeling then all that happens is that the rope goes through the sheave and then down to the keel. The keel is pivoted at the front.

I had exactly the same problem with my boat and greatly reduced it by putting part of a door mat down the keel box! The door mat was a bit like astro turf and I reckoned that if it helped reduce water spray on HGV mud flaps then it might help my keel. It's cut out most of the water but not all.

Cost? About £3, and I've got a cut down door mat to use when we dry out in mud!
