Hi all,
I have a very slow diesel leak (a teaspoonful a week maybe) and haven't yet found the source but looking around I have found something which is confusing me. The diesel/water seperator assembly is a Delphi product and has an inlet and outlet on each side at the top (presumably so that it can be used with left to right flow or right to left). The spare ports are blocked off so no problme there. However the bowl has two drain ports, one of which has a drain plug and one of which is empty (not blanked off). The empty port doesn't seem to be doing anything (and I think the source of the leak is more likely to be the plug in the other drain not being screwed up tightly).
Anyway my question is 'what is this second drain port all about and is it a potential source of a very slow leak?' Is it to do with the blanked off inlet and outlet ports?
Thanks
