Major Catastrophe

Dolphin! Lot’s of them, all milling and jumping just ahead of us. We slowed to 8 knots to take a closer look and they all broke off from what we assumed was feeding and headed straight for us.
Okay, I’m teasing now. After realising that taking stills of dolphins is not that easy, I switched to the movie function and shot these two short clips. Not sure how many animals there were, but we saw over 30 of them and while some would ride the bow wave others swam parallel to the boat.
Towards the end of the last film, Gary sped back up to 16 knots and while a couple of large fit dolphins tried to keep up with us, one by one they gave up.
It was a great moment that took over a grey day.
