Delivery trip - Plymouth to Shotley

Moved again today.
Played motorboat - no more than 8 knots of wind and that from straight ahead.
Helmed from the saloon with the heating on - I do like to rough it!
Well the auto pilot did most of the steering with the chart plotter's guidance.
Now in Haslar Marina.
My son is now of back to Cambridge.
My school mate joins tomorrow evening.
Sorting a few minor boat jobs in the meanwhile.

I stopped there. Decent food in the lightship But a bit bouncy on that end of the marina.
 
Shotley - Plymouth - Falmouth (and back) a great trip.

As we kept the boat in Shotley and family lived in Plymouth and Falmouth, for a number of years it was our regular run.

Good winds, safe seas and wishing you a trip to remember.✅??
 
Motor sailed to Brighton on Sunday and sat out the strong easterly winds yesterday.
Off to Eastbourne this afternoon and then planning an early start for Ramsgate on Wednesday.

I'm doing the reverse trip, although starting in the Medway on Monday week. I don't launch until Thursday and keep looking at the current forecast for NE winds and want to leave now. Actually there are two Invictas leaving the Medway about the same time to get to Plymouth for the Jester Challenge this year. There should be a Varne Folkboat leaving from Levington but Duncan has not nominated yet. Duncan very successfully sailed for over 170 miles last year without a rudder to get to the Azores but he was also towed under sail by another boat for 230 miles.

I am assuming it is 'Dove' as in Noah's Ark not 'dove' as in entering the water.
