Can anyone recommend a delivery skipper to take a yacht from Devon to Dublin in approximately 1 month's time?

Typically about £125 a day plus expenses for skipper. May also have to pay for crew. Number of companies advertise in the back of the mags. I used Max Walker and was satisfied.

Suggest you get 3 or 4 quotes and talk to the prospective skipper - many of the advertisers are agencies and skippers are freelance.

I think that passage might take less than 1 month?

I really don't know - I assume that they can only get away with it on coded boats since they are charging members of the public to be passengers. They normally only do a handfull of runs each year.

I have never used Halcyon Yacht Delivery but would have no hesitation in recommending them. A good friend of mine sometimes crews for them. I would trust him with my yacht because I know he is a good sailor and very careful.
He was recently telling me about the lengths that Halcyon go to to ensure that the boat is looked after - wrapping sticky out bits in tape, and apparently even clothing is checked for buttons/buckles that might cause any damage.
These details would suggest to me that Halcyon go the extra mile.

Glad you have found someone, warning to anyone else out there. Do not use Direct Yacht Deliveries. Awful company, employ useless skippers who will put crew with no experience at the helm of your vessel whilst they sleep. Do not crew for them either.
