Delivery skipper from Clyde to Gibraltar

I'm trying to get prices to deliver a sun odyssey 37 from Largs to Gibraltar can anyone recommend anyone ,halcyon yachts are my first choice but just waiting for a price I've had a quote from a freelance skipper , what would be the difference his price was good but I don't know him

I used Halcyon yachts for a delivery from Falmouth to Lisbon - they provided a skipper and one crew to accompany me. They were excellent, and I would definitely recommend them. I'm not sure if you are also going on the delivery? Although I didn't need any backup, Halcyon have a good backup system in case something goes wrong - not sure if a freelance skipper would have access to the same resources? Of course a good skipper is a good skipper, whether they are freelance or employed, and you could be perfectly OK with a freelance guy, but I was happy for the peace of mind that using Halcyon gave me.

Why, do you need a delivery skipper?
Just do it yourself in short hops if your not confident.

Max Walker Yacht Deliveries are excellent.I have used them twice,UK to Algarve and recently Algarve to UK.Very good value and reliable. Well worth getting a quote from them .

I think I'd get also a quote from PYD. They also have lots of recommendations on their web site and do a pretty good job by all accounts.
