Delivery costs from Corfu to UK South Coast

Would you trust a stranger not to bring drugs on board? Would your insurance cover you if it were seized?

I take your point, but wouldn't they only be likely to do that if they were going to nick it anyway ? Someone else's boat doesn't seem a very probable place for someone to stash drugs or other contraband - too much like leaving stuff in the back of a stranger's lorry :-)

I'm not sayin it couldn't happen ... (before I receive a pile of links pointing to cases where it has :-) )

How much does it cost to keep a 33 foot yacht in the cheaper end of South of France marinas ?

About 1900 Euros per year in Port Leucate for 10.0 - 10.5m (space currently available).

More than double than in Port Napoleon (which probably has space).

Very few other ports have any space available.

The main problem is that flights are very expensive if they're not return to and from the same airport (OFG and I had this problem getting the previous boat back from Cyprus).
However, unless you have a super-yacht, the south of France is very cheap because a boat less than 60' is not worth charging much for.

Unfortunately, not. I've asked, extensively, in the places where superyots are kept and those rather more modest. Prices don't start to fall steeply until you get west of Marseilles, which is not most peoples' idea of where they want to be in the SoF.

Is that true ? How much does it cost to keep a 33 foot yacht in the cheaper end of South of France marinas ?

Also, as a matter of interest, are the marinas on the Moroccan / North African coast any cheaper than the rest of the Med ? Or aren't there enough of them to make it a viable cruising area ?

I don't know about North Africa, but suggest you pm oldfatgit on the South of France. (But he's away this week so it'll take a few days.)
