Looking at purchasing an early 1990's Dehler 34 as it seems to have the sailing qualities I want - reasonably quick, seaworthy with decent, but not huge, internal volume and not least, the right price range. I'm finding it very difficult to get solid information on the model, no magazine reviews, nothing much on the forum, etc.
Would be most obliged for any comments from present or former owners, online or offline to harryshaw@eircom.net

I used to have a very small role in assembling these in the UK, fresh from the factory. The fact that just two spanners and a screwdriver enabled the boat to be put together, no filing or other adjustments, spoke volumes for the accuracy and quality of the engineering. The Production Director was also an Olympic standard yachtsman and this showed.

I did one of the YM Triangle races in a Dehler 34, superb handling and quick, plus being very strong indeed. Smallish accommodation and needing extra non-slip on the coach roof, otherwise beyond reproof.

Paul,

I would be grateful if you could send the reports on the Dehler 34 to me also, as I am also considering the purchase of a Dehler 34 or 37 and cannot find any reports.

E-mail address john.downes@halliburton.com

Thanks,
John
