Deep or Shoal Fin Keel?

What % of time will you spend where? As an East Coaster myself I spend 95% of the year in and around the coast and 5% crossing the North Sea. Do you want to use the French or Dutch canals? Do you anchor much? What are your fave marinas - do they have cills etc? Do you have a crew prone to seasickness?
