Broom or Princess.?
Always liked the quality and fit of the Broom Crown range. Problem is, most are still wheezing around on the ancient original engines virtually all of which must be very near to being pensioned off. There are no spares at all for one particular engine and spares merely extending the agony on other versions.
That only leaves a repower.
With a proper job probably needing 40K or more before fitting and gearbox sterngear mods spent on a 35 year old boat,it simply is not worth any prudent buyer even considering a Broom with Perkins power.
Asking prices would appear to be very optimistic if you take this into account.
At least with anything powered by Volvo you can pick up the phone and keep your boat moving ?
Comments welcome,especially from Broom owners.
