Having placed an order last week (www.deckbits.com) and had no reply to my follow-up emails, I phoned the number on the website which first went to an answerphone for some training company, then when I tried again was answered with "wrong number".

I only used them after finding this thread http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?312876-Deckbits&highlight=deckbits, so it looks like things have changed for the worse...

I'm pretty sure I put-in all my credit card details too, but no money has been taken yet.

phone the CC Co & warn them in advance

I was one of the people who had no problems, some 6 years ago now. Shame when businesses go but they if they do they should shut completely. Hopefully your post here lets everyone know. Maybe there's another explanation but it doesn't look good. I hope you manage to sort out - apologies if the old post mislead but at the time it stood true.

I suspect a one-man-band trying his hand at different things, but not cleaning-up after himself.
Anyway, for future readers of this thread, I ordered the bits I needed online from Lewmar themselves and they arrived today with no fuss.

Yes there are lots of defunct companies who just leave their website, often nothing sinister but annoying to spend time on a dead site!
