'Deck paint'

Just realised that as we are driving to the boat ( in Spain) this time we have the opportunity to carry out more 'essential gear'!
For years we have used exterior masonry paint on our decks ( and it has performed well)
We had a very large can of 'fortress grey' paint with sand and it worked well in Uk and then in Sardinia.
This was used up and in Spain we bought what we hoped would be the same. It worked but has not lasted long and doesn't have the density of the Fortress stuff.
It would be great to find the same paint again but I cant find it anywhere.
has anyone seen this paint or can recommend an alternative? Sandtex comes to mind but I haven't seen many colours except white and Magnolia!

You might be glad of cream or white decks if you are heading South. Grey decks can't be walked on in the Tropics in bare feet

Off white, if you must , never brilliant white cos of the reflected glare
The lightest grey , I have used in two boats , is pretty good and hides dust n dirt unlike cream

Here in Galicia bought a sack of fine sand for just that purpose,wearing well on outside staircase…check out builders supplies

Johnstone's textured masonry paint can be mixed to any colour at Brewers decorators centres. The same applies to Dulux in the past. Not to sure about Sandtex.

Don’t know but there is enough to last a good 50 years

The light grey has been kind to our feet in the med for 4 years though I guess white may help keep the boat cool inside.

We opted for cream decks as it doesn't get hot ever. It has less glare than white so no snow blindness. The only downside is it is harder to keep clean than a darker colour
