Hi folks,
My deck stepped mast had unsightly rubber shims squeezed around it's base where it sat on the deck. See pictures.
and
As the mast is now off and will be re-stepped in a few weeks I have been wondering is there a neater better solution.
One idea is to wrap either self-amalgamating or heat shrink tape around the mast base making sure the top is a bit thicker than the base like this,
so it fits snugly when its dropped back in but i'm not sure of the durability of those 2 materials over time. Wondering if anyone else has had the same issue and if so what did you use?
