Boat's been sitting v. close to a busy T-road and under a lime tree. Result - glued-on diesel dirt/soot particles, now hardened by sun/wind/rain. Apart from an angle grinder - of which I have three (!) - what does the team suggest for the removal of truly-resistant grubbiness from GRP....?

OXACLIC ACID look on ebay, and mix your own, much cheaper than Y10 or other premixed stuff.

hmm, a mixture of biological drips from the aphids on the tree, and hydrocarbon particulates.

When I had a boat under the Heathrow take-off path, the spotty sooty bits were very hard to shift. However, the most effective cleaner was from OilTechnics. www.oiltechnics.com.

By chance I have some of their magic bio-active potions in the shed, inc some Sobo Gold, and a newer bio. Added to tomorrow's list

If its from a lime tree this will be a resinous deposit. De greaser is unlikely to be much good. Acetone may shift it.
