Decision Made ....Gulp

Hi All

Thanks for all the feedback on Temple Marina. We have made the decision to move Tristan after 4 very happy years at the mooring just below Romney Lock.

We will miss all our friends on the mooring but most likely see more of them as we will probably visit Windsor now as a stop over, being so close we rarely stopped in town on our way up river.

So middle Thames here we come, can not wait to spend more time in Marlow and Henley, be within reach of Byrons for any forumite get together's.

The new Marina is great, all the facilities the lady requires and even more important lovely grounds for Luke to play in whilst we relax on the boat and enjoy the Marina.

It was a big decision for us to leave, Tom Jones Boatyard have looked after us well and my ever helpful friends at Kris Crusiers will still get my business because great service, deserves great loyalty and is worth a day trip in my view. Also that way we get to visit our old friends in Datchet and Windsor.

So new horizons and hopefully, great food, good wine and company at our new home.

Now the decision is made we are really very happy at the prospect.

Well done, Its a great location and your mooring will be next to the weir with views below Temple lock. We have just sold our boat and would like to moor there when we get our next one.

Great News, we did same thing beginning year by moving from Taplow to opposite you at Harleyford.

Nick, you really should consider joining the Harleyford Motor Yacht Club. They are quite active and it will give your kids the chance to meet others. Alternatively think of the Upper Thames MYC. They are a ways up river at Sonning about a two hour run I guess but have amazing facilities and very efficiently run.

Further to Byron's suggestions, if you are around this weekend have a look in at the Thames Valley Rally. Quite a few forumites wil be there.

Whilst it is always nice to have good weather the TVR does have a great advantage in bad weather. It has the splendid marquee where people can gather and socialise. I for one just love the breakfasts in there and take maybe 2 hours over it thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to scrape people's leftovers on my plate and getting a huge meal for free.

Good shout and we will look into the cluibs mentioned. The weekend of the TVR we have a 30th party (if only it was mine again lol) and then we will be moving Tristan to her new home. If we get a chance we could pop up Monday to say hello at TVR
