Hi all,

I'm looking for some recommendations for good sailing videos. Most of YouTube is rammed jammed full of these "sailing channels". Thumbnail is a girl, definitely in bikini bottoms, from behind, perhaps with a head tilt. And are mostly young couples talking about their adventurous life. Most show very little sailing.

I don't want to see a scruffy haired, rugged dude and a bikini clad chick telling me about thier hardships and triumphs. I want to see normal people actually sailing boats.

Particular interests would be small boats and the uk / Irish waters.

This guy is worth a watch. Sails his contessa in some fairly harsh conditions :

Erik Aanderaa

Hope the link works, Erik Aanderaa is the channel name.

Another good one is Patrick Laine Sailing

Patrick Laine

Sails his Bavaria single handed from La Rochelle and documents some of his trips, especially his docking!

Not necessarily UK but try:

Sailing Wave Rover
Sam Holmes
Just About Sailing
Sailing Kittiwake
How to Sail Oceans
Wandering Steve
Wind Hippie Sailing

I like these guys - not the usual sailing channel but good cruising footage, some useful rigging information and they are doing it in a small boat with a retrofitted electric engine. The Rigging Doctor. Very much "real life" cruising. I have done the trip they are doing (but in reverse) so can relate to a lot of it.

Or you could always watch our walkthrough videos. No sailing though.

I have been enjoying project sailing atticus but might fall slightly out of what you are looking for but they know about cruising sailors etc. Also alluring artic. There are so many!

If you just want the aesthetic, then Pandorak is a very talented film maker with a couple of great cold water sailing videos. No narration or bikinis. HR 31 Monsun.
