DECENT replacement G4 LED's (maybe one for JFM?)

It strikes me that whilst Cantalupi "Deserts" are extremely nice, the fact that they're square** and pricey may not make them the perfect retrofit. I wonder if the round versions - Cantalupi "Roger" @ approx £46 (inc VAT) or Cantalupi "Point" @ approx £33 (inc VAT) may give the quality* at a slightly lower price?

Perhaps we could get a group buy organized and get the price down a little?

* 3000°K / CRI: 80 / 10 - 30v DC
** fitting wise this may make no difference

They look good
Desert still fit in a round hole despite being square
Better to order 3400k as a special imho. They will do it if you're ordering say 20+

I noticed in the latest NauticLED catalogue that they now do two ranges of retrofit LED G4's. One of these has a CRI > 80m the other has a CRI > 90 which seems to make them the market leader from this perspective. Both are offered in 2700K and 4000K whites. Ideally they'd be offered in a colour somewhere between the two but this isn't the case.

My question is, is CRI more critical for natural white than warm white or is it equally import for both colours? A forumite has kindly offered to order a few from me and try them so I'm sure he'll report back later.
