We need a trailerable boat cover for our 19ft fourwinns bowrider with a wake tower. Would like some recommendations please that don’t cost too much and don’t fall apart after a year. The boat is kept on dry land, outdoors in lockup when not on being used - so 80% of the time.

Also, is it advisable to keep the canvas cockpit and seating area covers on underneath as ‘backup’ to keeping out water?

Used to know a wonderful canvas worker on the South coast but that was at least 12 years ago and she was no spring chick then (!) so sure she is retired.

I‘d talk to a local sail maker.

Be aware that without some ventilation damp and mould maybe an issue if left for long periods.

I used to have a 21 foot sea ray bowrider, It came with seperate canvas covers for the bow section, and cockpit, and I also had a single entire boat cover made for me out of some canvas like material .

IF I was only leaving the boat for a short period (say < 4 weeks) then I would just use the individual covers over the bow and cockpit but If I was leaving it for longer then I used the factory supplied individual covers and then put the overall cover over the top of these, it seemed to work very well in keeping everything very dry over winter etc.

Thank you for all the responses.

I have looked at the ducks back covers but I don’t think are trailerable.

I’ll keep searching to see if there are any ready made Uk available covers. I called a couple of Uk canvas workers and they are little out of my budget and they need the boat to measure up which isn’t possible.
