Decca Sets

I am currently working with some blind sailors in the Westcountry. One of them is a liveaboard and needs an audible voltmeter. Could anyone out there donate a Decca set (now defunct) so that I can adapt its voltmeter function for this poor man on his Ketch in Milbrook?

Wouldn't it be easier to build one from scratch? It would only cost a couple of pounds in components, and could be customised to the task?
