Debris :(

Invoice Henley Council for the damage. They're keen enough to take money from boaters, I wonder what they're like at handing it out.

Got to be worth a try its rubbish they are supposed to clear and rubbish clearance is one of the few things Henley council do for your money there.

Yes, that'll teach them to dump stuff in the river, damn vandals.

It is shallow there and quite clear at this time of year. And their oppo's are continually patrolling in a golf cart or on foot for a mooring fee, checking for trolleys or pushchairs shouldn't be too much trouble.

Did the OP remove the pushchair BTW? Being Henley, it might be a thousand pounds worth of 3 wheeled contraption, which(even at second hand prices)may cover the cost of lift out and paint?:D

Chewed up and spat out a pushchair which was hidden under the water at the River and Rowing museum towpath at Henley. There did not appear to be a child strapped in it :disgust:
Took the paint off the sterndrive skeg but the props survived.
If you suffered material damage then an approach to the council would seem to be in order but I wouldn't hold my breath! Last year, if you remember, with the assistance of the EA, I successfully challenged Staines and they cleared considerable debris, including several shopping trolleys, from their moorings. In that case the moorings are actually an accommodation so the EA licence requires them to maintain the mooring.
In the case of the park at Henley this is not the case and the moorings are bank-side. Not sure but I suspect their T&C's make it clear that they accept no liability for any damage arising from your use of the moorings.

Just saying .....
