Went into the Deben yesterday afternoon an hour before HW and saw a minimum depth of 4.1 metres with 3 metres of tide. On John White’s advice stuck close to the bouys which he says need tweaking slightly but otherwise the entrance seems, if anything, easier than in previous years. There are no sharp turns required, just a straight run in.

Thanks that is useful but note that according to the Harwich tide gauge yesterday's afternoon high was 0.4m above prediction.
