The sketch maps for the Deben and Ore Entrance are now available on east coast rivers site.
I went for a look see, from up river, at low tide on Saturday (0.78m)
The depths on the sketch seem to match what I found.
I did not go out to the West Knoll buoy as there was braking waves right across that area.
You need to be within 2 boat lengths of the Green Mid Knoll buoy for the deepest water in that area.
I found to bottom in 1m about 6 boat lenghts SW of the buoy on the way back in. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
The stone banks are much lower this year so an entrance with any East in the wind will be some what rolly.
The deepest water by Felixstowe ferry and Martello tower U is within a boat length of the beach.
You still need to turn out to leave the red Deben buoy to port.
Don't leave turning out to late on a flood tide as the stream will push you though at 2 to 3 knots.
