There is a new web site which looks as if it will contain the most up to date information on the Deben bar and Orford enterance. Worth a look.

And it looks super. Thank goodness we have some up-to-date info, last time I checked there hadn't been any updates for 2004, and the estuary had changed (as had one bank of the river at The Rocks, as my friend found out by putting us onto the mud last month!

By "The Rocks" do you mean round the corner above Ramsholt? What has changed there? You might as well save me the embarressment of going on the mud as I have been known to skank round the corners.

The Rocks remains much the same to my knowledge - pass there every week from my mooring at Waldringfield, but don't try to cut inside the port cans at low tide as there is a very shallow patch extending from the S bank just downstream from there. Debenentrance.com looks v worthwhile & has the support of local businesses (Small Craft Deliveries, Blue Baker & Seamark Nunn) so hopefully it will become a useful reference if we all contribute updates & experiences.
